Description
Solid SBR Rubber Strip — 3mm Thick
A commercial-grade solid rubber strip manufactured from a natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber (NR/SBR) blend. Supplied in 5-metre lengths across eleven widths from 10mm to 100mm, this strip is engineered for sealing, cushioning, vibration damping, and impact protection across industrial, engineering, and general-purpose applications. Tough, flexible, and easy to cut to size — it bonds readily to most hard surfaces using a standard contact adhesive.

Typical Applications
Frequently Asked Questions
What is SBR rubber and what makes it suitable for general-purpose use?
SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) is a synthetic rubber blended here with natural rubber (NR) to produce a material with good abrasion resistance, flexibility, and resilience. It performs reliably across a wide range of sealing, cushioning, and protective applications in both industrial and trade environments.
What widths and lengths are available?
This strip is available in eleven widths: 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm. All strips are 3mm thick and supplied in 5-metre lengths. Select your width from the dropdown above.
Can the strip be used outdoors?
This material is not recommended for prolonged exposure to UV light, ozone, petrol, or solvents. For outdoor applications with significant UV exposure, a more UV-stable rubber compound would be more appropriate.
How do I fix the strip in place?
The strip bonds securely to most hard surfaces using a general-purpose contact adhesive. Apply adhesive to both surfaces, allow to become touch-dry, then press firmly together for a strong, lasting bond.
Can I cut the strip to a shorter length or narrower width?
Yes. The strip can be trimmed easily using scissors or a craft knife. No specialist tools are required, making it straightforward to cut to your exact required dimensions on site.
Is there a tolerance on the stated dimensions?
Yes. Width tolerance is ±1.0mm for strips up to 25mm wide, and ±1.5mm for strips from 25.1mm to 100mm wide. Thickness tolerance is ±0.3mm. These are standard manufacturing tolerances for this type of rubber strip.
