What material is this strip made from?
It is manufactured from expanded EPDM / Neoprene closed cell sponge rubber — a waterproof, compressible material with excellent resistance to UV light, weathering, and acids.
What widths are available?
The strip is available in seven widths: 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm. All options are 20mm thick and 2m long per roll.
How does the self-adhesive backing work?
One face of the strip carries a factory-applied pressure-sensitive adhesive protected by a removable backing paper (yellow or white). Peel the backing and press firmly onto a clean, dry, grease-free surface for a secure bond.
Can this strip be used outdoors or in vehicles?
Yes. The closed cell structure is waterproof and the material offers excellent resistance to UV light and weathering, making it suitable for outdoor use and for sealing in caravans, boats, cars, vans, and trailers. Operating range is -40°C to +70°C.
Can the strip be cut to a shorter length?
Yes. Each 2m roll can be cut to any required length using a sharp knife or scissors. Width cannot be altered without specialist cutting equipment.
