Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
What widths are available for the 12mm thick strip?
Nine widths are available: 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm. All are 12mm thick and supplied as a 5-metre roll. Select your width from the variant menu above.
Is this strip suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The closed-cell neoprene / EPDM composition offers excellent resistance to UV light, air, and outdoor weathering, making it well suited to external sealing and protection tasks.
How do I apply the self-adhesive strip?
Clean the surface thoroughly — it must be smooth, dry, and free of oil or grease. Peel back the yellow or white release liner and press the strip firmly onto the surface. No additional adhesive is required.
What temperature range can this strip handle?
It operates reliably between −40°C and +70°C, covering most indoor, outdoor, automotive, and light industrial environments.
Can it be used in vehicles, boats, or caravans?
Yes. It is widely used in cars, vans, trucks, caravans, boats, and trailers for draught sealing, vibration damping, and edge protection. It is not suitable for areas with direct exposure to petrol or solvents.
What is the hardness and density of this material?
Hardness is 36° Shore 00 (±5°), giving a soft, compressible feel. Density is 120 ± 20 kg/m³. These properties make it effective for cushioning and conforming seals under compression.
