Application Notes

* Ensure the application surface is clean, dry, smooth, and free from oil or grease before bonding.
* This material is not suitable for prolonged contact with petrol, solvents, or mineral oils.
* Due to the compressible nature of closed-cell sponge, slight variations in width and thickness are normal within the stated tolerances.
* Strip is delivered as a coiled roll with a removable release liner on the adhesive face.

Frequently Asked Questions

What material is this sponge strip made from?

It is made from expanded closed-cell EPDM/Neoprene sponge rubber — a durable, flexible foam with excellent resistance to UV light, weathering, and moisture.

What temperature range can this strip handle?

It operates reliably from −40°C to +70°C, making it suitable for both cold-weather outdoor sealing and moderate-heat industrial environments.

How do I apply the self-adhesive strip?

Clean the surface thoroughly — it must be dry, smooth, and free of oil or grease. Peel back the release liner and press the strip firmly into position. Apply pressure along the full length for best adhesion.

Can this strip be used outdoors or on vehicles?

Yes. The closed-cell structure is waterproof and the EPDM compound offers excellent UV and weathering resistance, making it well suited for exterior use on buildings, caravans, boats, vans, and trailers.

What widths are available and how is it supplied?

Ten widths are available: 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm. Each is supplied as a 10-metre coiled roll at 1.5mm thickness.
