Frequently Asked Questions

What widths are available for this 12mm thick rubber strip?

Available in eight widths: 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, and 50mm. All are 12mm thick and supplied in 5-metre lengths. Select your preferred width from the menu above.

Can this strip be used outdoors?

Yes — it is fully waterproof and performs across a temperature range of −30°C to +70°C, making it suitable for outdoor sealing and weatherstripping. Prolonged direct UV exposure is not recommended.

How do I cut or fit the rubber strip?

It cuts cleanly with scissors or a craft knife and bonds to most hard surfaces using a general-purpose contact adhesive — no specialist tools or fixings required.

What does 65 Shore A hardness mean in practice?

65 Shore A places this strip in the firm-but-flexible range. It holds its shape under load while still compressing enough to form an effective seal or cushion — well suited to gasketing and vibration damping.

Is this strip suitable for gasketing and sealing?

Yes. The NR/SBR blend offers good resistance to water, impact, and general wear, making it well suited to gasketing, draught exclusion, and sealing in commercial and industrial settings. Not recommended for contact with petrol, solvents, or ozone-rich environments.
